Next Meeting

Our next meeting will take place on Thursday, January 15 from noon to 2:00, at Morningstar Christian Fellowship. Stan Fowler will be the speaker. Stan is the academic dean and professor of theology at Heritage Seminary. Please mark the date in your calendars.

Would You Like to Host a Meeting?

We're always looking for churches who are willing to host us and provide a lunch. If you are able to host a meeting of our Association in the first half of 2009, please let us know. A portion of the $8 fee goes toward paying the costs of the food.

Pastoring Pastors

Our association executive believes that there is a need to provide pastoral care among our pastors. To assist us in that process have asked Todd Riley (Islington Baptist) and Stephen Hamburger (Scarborough Baptist) to come alongside us and help us do that. Basically Todd will be connecting with the eastern pastors of our assocaition while Steve will be connecting with our the western section of our association.

City-Focused Strategy

This short article by Tim Keller on the importance of city-focused strategy is definitely worth reading:

As the city goes, so the arts, scholarship, communication, philosophy, commerce, etc. goes. From the beginning, cities have been centers of cultural power...Reach the city to reach the world. In general, missions should concentrate more on cities than anywhere else.

2009 Events

We are planning another prayer rally in May 2009. We also have a training day on revitalizing existing churches on the books for September/October 2009. Stay tuned.
